JUNIOR CONGREGATION Junior Congregation at Temple Beth Rishon enhances your child’s Hebrew School training with lively, age-appropriate services. Services for Alef-Bet and Gimel-Dalet are held on the same day, at the same time. Rabbi Sandy and Cantor Ben, our cantorial intern, will jointly lead Junior Congregation services for each age group. Rabbi Sandy will lead a Torah discussion and group aliyot for Gimel and Dalet and a Torah-based play for Alef and Bet. Cantor Ben will lead each group in prayers and songs. Junior Congregation supports your children’s preparation for bar and bat mitzvah. They become more familiar with our prayers and develop confidence in reciting them. We speak with them about the meaning of the prayers and our holidays. They practice the prayer melodies that they learn in Hebrew School. Our services always end with Kiddush – juice and challah – and singing Shabbat Shalom. We hope that your children will join us for these wonderful services and that you will volunteer to help us run them.
Join us in September when we resume our Jr. Congregation Services
