Tzedakahoften is translated from Hebrew to mean “charity,” but its true meaning is rooted in the obligation to justice and righteousness. Each individual act of tzedakah expresses a sacred and enduring Jewish value by connecting us through the continuous pursuit to better our world.
All significant religious and cultural institutions including Temple Beth Rishon require supplemental operating funds. Everything that TBR has to offer depends on the support of our caring and generous members:
Inspiring worship led by devoted clergy;
educational programs for tots, children, teens and adults;
extensive cultural and volunteer offerings;
and the preservation of our magnificent building.
Annual Fundraising supports the temple’s core educational programs, life-cycle events, worship services, and the day-to-day operation of our building facilities. It provides critical funds to supplement income from membership dues and supports the temple’s annual operating budget.
Opportunities to participate include our Kol Nidre appeal, a yearly gala and ad journal and various events throughout the year.
Special projects such as the recent renovation of our state-of-the-art education wing are also supported by temple members who help further our vision for the future of our community.
Each gift to Temple Beth Rishon makes possible all that we do today and ensures an even more promising tomorrow.
